Mark Weaver & Associates is building a legacy of industry excellence for interior design.
HOLLYWOOD IS KNOWN FOR ITS GLITZ, glamour, movies and music. Right next door in the heart of the West Hollywood Design District, Mark Weaver & Associates Inc. has quietly spent the last 45 years becoming one of the premier luxury design firms in the world.
“Our well-established clientele expects the highest quality and attention to detail, allowing me to design, build and furnish with the finest materials for their homes,” says Mark Weaver, owner, principal and president. “Our clients are like family. In my business, one of the most important things is to build long-term relationships with clients, employees and vendors.”
Weaver founded his firm in 1970 and is a Southern California native. His extensive portfolio covers a diverse and distinctive body of work including residential installations, private aircrafts, yachts and island retreats.
The firm’s projects range from the restoration of historic estates in Nantucket and Santa Barbara to modern steel and glass residences. Weaver’s impressive portfolio also includes a prestigious list of private corporate installations, including offices for several Fortune 500 companies.
One of the company’s keys to success is working intently with its customers to determine their interests and what amuses them in order to reflect their lifestyle and tastes in their surroundings. Mark Weaver & Associates avoids trends, instead tailoring creations to client needs. Weaver himself and his team work closely with architects and contractors to assure a seamless integration of all elements
needed to meet client expectations.
“No matter who the client is, it is critical that I approach the project with a positive attitude,” Weaver says. “We must start by listening closely to our clients, and then follow with excellent service tailored to their specific needs.”
The company’s portfolio covers a diverse body of work including residential installations, private aircraft, yachts and private island retreats. According to Mark Weaver
& Associates, the company has worked on historic estates in Nantucket and Santa Barbara, a townhouse in London, and renovations and interiors for a 16C palazzo in Piacenza, Italy.
Variety of Capabilities
Whether the home is in Beverly Hills or Barcelona, the firm manages its projects with the same proven and successful methods.
“I find it very exciting to do work abroad. The challenge is to learn the local customs, especially how regional
subcontractors operate.” Weaver says. “You need to form local relationships so that when issues arise, you have allies. As for foreign clients, people are the same around the world – they want style and comfort. People want to be proud of where they live and work.
“At Mark Weaver & Associates we are not only designing a home, we are designing the best experience of a home for our clients,” Weaver adds.
Incorporating technology seamlessly into the design of a home is always a high priority for Weaver.
“We are constantly looking for the newest features in technology to incorporate into our designs,” Weaver explains. “In our design process, we can oversee all the details, from
construction to audio/visual and lighting.
“We are more involved than just decorating a simple space and that is why we have had such a high number of repeat clients over the past four decades,” Weaver continues.
With an 80 percent rate of repeat clients, this has proven to be a recipe for success.
Mark Weaver & Associates has become known for designing homes with quiet luxury.
Weaver’s hallmark style integrates classic and modern design elements.
His Italian heritage greatly influences Mark Weaver’s love of history, architecture and antiques.
Another major influence on the firm’s work is The Santa Barbara style, inspired by a Spanish-Italian motif.
For 2015, Mark Weaver & Associates is working in a variety of architectural styles in residential and corporate projects
in the United States and abroad.
The firm is completing two elaborate estates projects on the California coast; two projects on the “The World Luxury Residences at Sea” with installations in Hong Kong and Venice; and other domestic residential projects in Aspen, Lake Michigan and New York City.
Closer to home in Southern California, Mark Weaver & Associates also is designing the new Founder’s Room at the Annenberg Performing Arts Center in Beverly Hills and redesigning the metaphysics laboratory at UCLA.
“It is a very exciting project to collaborate with one of the groundbreaking scientists in America today,” Weaver says. “We build new levels of trust with our clients around the world, and I couldn’t be more proud of my team and satisfied with our work.”
