Building in eastern Ontario neighborhoods, Luxart Homes offers unique opportunities for potential homeowners.
LUXART HOMES, opened in 2008 by Kris and Amanda Wagorn, offers town and countryside options for homebuyers in Carleton Place, Ontario, and the surrounding communities of Ashton and Beckwith in eastern Ontario.
One of the major factors that makes Luxart stand out is its ability to tailor homes to buyers’ needs and desires at price points that offer greater access to more families.
“When selecting a plan, homeowners are offered the opportunity to completely customize their home – for free,” Amanda says. “This is something that, previous to Luxart, wasn’t available in the area. Luxart offers truly custom homes for prices that home-buyers in a tract market can afford.”
That custom design at no extra cost – plus quality materials and workmanship – ensure that families can settle into a home that works for them, Kris says.
“I think what really sets Luxart apart is that we truly want our homeowners to feel that their home is perfect for them,” Amanda says. “We work tirelessly and take great care and pride in working with clients to make the house practical and functional for them and for their family’s specific needs.”
In a situation where timing is so critical, it’s uncommon to find a homebuilder that has never missed a closing date.
Luxart Homes is that uncommon builder, and that distinction of having never missed a closing date is part of the company’s commitment to a customer-first process.
“I know how important a closing date is – families stake everything on this date,” Amanda says. “The closing of their previous home, deposits on movers and trucks, babysitters, school functions – it matters. The closing date matters so much. We take it as seriously as the homeowner does.”
Known for its Arts and Crafts-inspired contemporary styles, Luxart offers home plans in thoughtfully developed communities. Maggie’s Place by Luxart Homes in Beckwith offers bungalows and two-story homes on spacious lots ranging between 1½ to 3 acres.
Priced in the mid-$400,000s, homes in Maggie’s Place feature a distinct “Luxart Homes look” and offer three- and four-bedroom plans at up to nearly 3,000 square feet (larger, of course, if a homeowner so desires).
The development includes 101 lots with a mix of heavily treed and more open spaces.
As people drive through Maggie’s Place, it’s immediately clear that all houses exude the same aesthetically pleasing details, architectural features, character traits and value.
Luxart’s Berkeley Park development, in the family-friendly and amenity-rich town of Carleton Place, offers three and four bedroom “city-style” homes with the same look and feel.
With only two lots remaining, this community is almost complete.
Luxart’s offerings are among the most valuable on the local market.
Luxart plans are well thought out, with very practical use of space and a nice balance of fine detail.
“Home plans are luxurious, yet wildly practical – each and every square foot of space is family friendly, functional and is designed to have a defined purpose for the family who will live there,” Amanda says.
“Luxart is known for big porches, welcoming design and attractive exteriors,” Kris adds.
Those big porches offer a welcoming feeling for a neighborhood, she says.
“Our overall design goal is to create family-friendly, community-centered neighborhoods, with aesthetic consistency and upheld value,” Amanda says.
The owners of Luxart Homes are hands-on through every step of the process – and that continues to be an important part of the Luxart experience.
Clients deal directly with decision-makers, creating autonomy for the homeowner. Communication is swift and accurate, and it’s Amanda herself who sits down and completely customizes plans, free of charge. Openness and transparency always are part of the deal.
“Our goal for the process is for it to be as easy and seamless as possible for every homeowner,” Amanda says. “Before discussing house plans or even interior color schemes with the homeowner, I put a lot of time into thinking ahead for that family, putting together suggestions and helping them think of ideas they might not otherwise have considered.”
The entire design and selection process is presented in a logical, phased methodology – one that is easily understood and manageable, according to Kris, who is personally responsible for the quality of Luxart Homes.
“The standard inclusions in each home reflect most builders’ upgrade lists, with construction of unmatched quality, featuring tried and tested building practices executed the proper way – the way your grandfather built his house: to last,” he says.
Those are the kinds of homeowner advantages that Amanda and Kris work to preserve as they consider the future. The parents of three want to ensure that they can continue to personally provide the quality for which Luxart is known to each and every homeowner.
“Though Luxart has every opportunity and ability to grow, it’s just not a desire for us at this time,” Amanda says. “At Luxart’s current size, family life and home life can balance nicely with that of maintaining the excellent service offered to our clients.”
Kris and Amanda also stay busy giving back to their community.
Kris offers on-site internships to students wanting to learn more about the construction side of the business.
Amanda volunteers at local schools, sharing her business expertise with the next generation of entrepreneurs in grades 5, 8 and 12. As a company, Luxart organizes events like barbecues, movie nights and festivals to bring neighbors and people together.
“We’ve been very strategic in growing our company, making sure that every homeowner is able to get the best benefit of our talents throughout growth,” she adds. “We like to personally represent our business, helping homeowners derive the very best life from their new home.”
